March of the Zapotec/Holland

Abaixo o single do EP, gravado no México, “March of the Zapotec” que está para ser lançado em fevereiro. Serão dois EPs, um com músicas recentemente feitas e o outro com músicas engavetadas, como disse o Condon. Condon que gosta da coisa étnica longe dos EUA e não gosta de admitir – com reticências – que era fã de Beach Boys.

Esses são os álbuns que o Zach Condon gravou aos 15 anos de adolescência. Ainda sem Beirut, utilizando o nome de The Real People.
Nunca foi oficialmente lançado, mas tá na internet aew.

Não é uma obra de arte, mas enfim.. ele é gracinha e algumas músicas me servem de trilha pra produzir programa de rádio.

“Venice” sounds like a direct relative of many of the songs released by Condon in 2001 . The downtempo electronica is just about subtle enough to put me to sleep, but the horns that come in do well to give the song some flare. Condon’s typically hard-to-decipher vocals are here in full form demonstrating the eccentric romanticism we’ve come to love.

Beirut from New Mexico

Zach Condon, ou Zacarias Camisinha, é o frontman da banda Beirut. Banda com um nome ruim de se pescar no Google e que toca folk com toques de leste-europeu. Curti.

Condon tem 22 anos e é mais um sucesso de Myspace, o mais novo blogstar. (e gatito)

É bacana achar gentes novas, com a música tão bem definida e promissores (e gatito).

Esse vídeo é da música “Nantes”, que está no Blogotheque Take-Away Shows, uma espécie de série de video-clipes feitos, geralmente, com as bandas tocando nas ruas de Paris. É legal pq são bem produzidos, a imagem tá com a qualidade boa e equivale a um clipe. Tem Andrew Bird e Arcade Fire nesse trem também, massa.
